A message from Kishan Perera, 2010-2011 GCNYAHU President:
It is with great enthusiasm that I accept my responsibilities as the 5th President of Greater Central New York Association of Health Underwriters (GCNYAHU). We have a challenging year ahead implementing the new Health Care Law and complying with New York State Insurance Reform. As a broker or agent we need to have tools and resources to educate our clients since they will depend on us for reliable and accurate information regarding the new rules and regulations. The GCNYAHU Board and I look forward to creating exceptional value for you as a member to help accomplish the critical role we play in the health insurance arena. I also strongly believe with each challenge there is opportunity. With the unprecedented changes taking place, it will not only allow us to serve clients better, but also gives us an opportunity to show our expertise as a benefits consultant.
